Stucco Crack Repair
Older block homes and storm-affected walls here often show settlement and hairline cracks. We open, fill and texture-match them before painting so rain stays out of the wall.
Read moreCharlotte County homes sit on canals, harbor shoreline and wide residential grids, and our Venice-based painters cover the Port Charlotte side with prep built for sun and storms.

Charlotte County wraps around Charlotte Harbor, where the Peace and Myakka rivers meet the Gulf. Most of the homes we paint are on the Port Charlotte side, along with Punta Gorda across the river and the Charlotte County part of Englewood near Lemon Bay. It is a county of long residential grids, a great deal of canal frontage and plenty of retirees and seasonal owners who want a house that looks after itself while they are away.
After Hurricane Charley in 2004 and Hurricane Ian in 2022, a lot of homes here had roofs, soffits and exterior surfaces replaced or repaired. Some of that patchwork never got painted to match, and some of the new materials have now weathered. We meet many owners who want the whole house brought back to one consistent finish. Our crew handles exterior repaints, stucco and wood repair, and interiors, with every job priced after a walk-through.
Large parts of Port Charlotte were laid out in the 1950s and 1960s as a planned community, and many of the original homes are modest single-story concrete block houses on standard lots. A good share back onto canals that lead out to the harbor. Over the decades owners have added rooms, lanais and screen enclosures, so a single house can have block, frame and aluminum surfaces side by side, each needing its own primer and its own prep before a finish coat goes on.
Newer construction fills the gaps between older streets and runs along the I-75 corridor, mostly block and stucco with tile or shingle roofs. Punta Gorda adds waterfront homes in its canal neighborhoods and some older houses near its historic downtown. Manufactured home communities are also common in the county, and their metal and vinyl skins need cleaning and coatings made for those surfaces rather than standard stucco paint. We plan each property around what it is actually built from. Pool cages and lanai screens round out most properties.
Charlotte Harbor carries salt air well inland, especially on canal lots where the breeze comes straight off the water. Combined with strong sun, that chalks paint and rusts exposed fasteners and railings faster than on homes farther from the harbor. Summer storms and high humidity keep stucco damp and encourage mildew on shaded walls and soffits. Hurricane season from June to November also means we pay close attention to sealing cracks and gaps that let wind-driven rain get behind the paint.

Punta Gorda is just across the Peace River on US-41, and Englewood is reached by River Rd.
We focus on the Port Charlotte side, including Port Charlotte itself, Punta Gorda and the Charlotte County part of Englewood. If your home is elsewhere in the county, give us a call and we will tell you straight away whether our Venice crew can take it on and when we could schedule a walk-through.
Usually the better answer is to repaint the whole roofline and often the whole exterior. Older paint has faded, so even an exact color match looks different next to fresh coats. We prime the new material, then paint fascia, soffit and trim together so the house reads as one finish.
Yes. Metal and vinyl skinned homes need a thorough wash, removal of chalk and oxidation, the right bonding primer and a flexible coating. We check for loose panels and rusted fasteners first and talk through which surfaces should and should not be painted before we put a price on the job.
